Under the watchful eye of an international jury composed of leading figures in classical music, the Competition brings the world&#8217;s best young artists to the forefront by helping to launch their careers.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2001 by internationally renowned bass Joseph Rouleau (1929-2019) and politician and philanthropist Andr\u00e9 Bourbeau (1936-2018), the Concours musical international de Montr\u00e9al was born out of a desire to offer Montreal a prestigious, high-level international competition.<\/p>\n<p>Since its first edition in 2002, the Competition has brought together exceptional musicians from the new musical generation every year.
