Three periods of composition are therefore distinguished during his career: before, after and after deafness. What is remarkable despite his hearing loss, this genius continues to express himself and to burst into new musical forms. Beethoven therefore put all his talent at the service of music and composition, using techniques such as the use of a certain part of the keyboard to compensate for failing hearing.
