In a world that sorely needs them, the artists participating in <em>Une for\u00eat en couleur<\/em> wish to bear witness to the power of art in their lives and in society at large. The audience will have the opportunity to hear this group which made its debut in 1997 with the album \u00abCoincidence\u00bb and which has been able to renew itself over time.<\/p>\n<p>This new ensemble will highlight exceptional musicians who in turn have brilliantly performed the music of &#8220;Leader.&#8221; , in concert as well as in the studio, notably for the Ad Infinitum and Symbiose projects. On the program: great jazz classics and original compositions from the albums of the quartet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Musical encounter poco a poco &#8211; \ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f\ud83c\udfb6 A musical journey to the land of magical sounds&#8230; with flutes, piano, bass and drums at 2 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The poco a poco musical encounters offer young people from 4 to 12 years old the opportunity to meet professional musicians of great talent, learn new musical styles and discover various musical instruments. <strong>The musical encounters lasting 1 hour are free.<\/strong> Children are accompanied by one or two parents. While music is the foundation of this bond, Quebec serves as their meeting point, and friendship is what anchors it.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will feature Sergei Rachmaninoff\u2019s famous <em>Elegiac Trio No. 2<\/em>; Rachmaninoff shares the same nationality as the Trio\u2019s violinist, Uliana Drugova. An inexhaustible source of inspiration, Sergei Rachmaninoff directly influenced Arno Babadjanian and Andr\u00e9 Mathieu, two other composers featured in the program.<\/p>\n<p>In the eyes of the Trio\u2019s pianist, Patil Harboyan, of Armenian origin, the trios by Arno Babadjanian and Gayane Chebotaryan bear witness to the history of a very ancient people, whose folklore is imbued with melancholy and drama, but also with a contagious joie de vivre.<\/p>\n<p>For cellist Dominique Beaus\u00e9jour-Ostiguy, Andr\u00e9 Mathieu\u2019s music, full of contrasts, draws its individuality from a multitude of musical currents from here and elsewhere.
