Centre de découverte du milieu marin, 41 rue des Pilotes

In Les Escoumins, on full moon Saturdays—June 27, August 1, and August 29, 2026—On JAZZ sous la lune creates nights unlike any other in Quebec: the moon rising over the St. Lawrence, the breath of the whales, and the sounds of jazz blend together against a single, vibrant horizon.
Greenhouse Ensemble invites you to immerse yourself in the world of Mezzanine, a second album that marks a new milestone in the band’s journey. Mezzanine captures the camaraderie, mutual respect, and creative energy that unite the musicians. The tracks unfold contrasting landscapes, each evoking a story, a movement, or a journey.
Like the suspended space from which it takes its name, the album inhabits the spaces in between: between height and vertigo, between light and darkness, between composition and improvisation. Here, the group pushes its artistic vision further than ever before, exploring new textures, new sonic dimensions, and a freer form of musical storytelling. For the duration of a concert, Greenhouse Ensemble invites you to step into this imaginary place—a space of serenity where stories take shape and where music opens up unexpected horizons.
Featuring: Roxane Reddy, vocals ∙ Camille Brousseau, violin ∙ William Lussier, trumpet, flugelhorn ∙ Christophe Magnan-Bossé, piano, Rhodes ∙ Louis-Martin Ruest, guitars ∙ Benjamin Lavoie-Doyon, double bass ∙ Simon Desrosiers, drums, percussion

Trio Été
Église Notre-Dame de Laterrière | 6167, Rue Notre Dame

It was after meeting at traditional jam sessions in Montreal that the three partners decided to come together to create a repertoire. Coming from different backgrounds (classical, jazz, traditional), they quickly realized how their diverse influences allowed them to reinterpret traditional Quebec music and create a unique sound that reflects their style—modern and dynamic, yet full of finesse and subtlety. Although their lyrics all come from the traditional repertoire, most of the instrumental pieces as well as the arrangements of their songs are original compositions that reflect the variety of styles they have mastered. The inclusion of jig numbers in their show makes their performances even more impressive.

Sleep scenes play an important role in Baroque music, particularly in French lyric tragedy.
More than just a poetic device, they suspend the action and create a space conducive to dreams, illusion, and the supernatural, where music becomes a true driving force of the drama.
In Lully’s Atys and Persée, these moments create an atmosphere of calm and suspension. This tradition continues with Desmarest, Campra, and Marin Marais, whose Symphony for Alcyone’s Sleep exemplifies the gentle, enveloping orchestral style characteristic of these scenes.
With Couperin, Rameau, and Vivaldi, sleep takes on a more symbolic and instrumental role: it evokes reverie, memory, and the uncertain states between wakefulness and dreaming.

Buy your ticketsJonathan Mak, pianist – The Enchanted Night
La Maison musicale de Warwick | 11, rue Boulanger

The Enchanted Night is a journey into the mysterious worlds that emerge when night falls and imagination begins to wander. From the quiet stillness of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata to the shifting dreamscapes of Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, the music unfolds like fragments of memory, reverie, and fantasy. These works invite us into realms where the boundaries between reality and imagination dissolve, and where the mind drifts freely between wonder and unease.
As the night deepens, the atmosphere grows more vivid and dramatic. In the legendary tale of Erlkönig, the listener is drawn into a supernatural ride through darkness, where fear, illusion, and fate intertwine. Even the most virtuosic moments carry an undercurrent of storytelling and transformation, reflecting the Romantic fascination with myth, legend, and the unseen. The program concludes with Brahms’ Third Piano Sonata, a youthful and passionate work. The slow movement yearns reminisces about love under the moonlight, while a familiar fate motif obsessively persists within the other movements. The Enchanted Night is a reflection on the power of imagination. Dreams, stories, and music allow us to glimpse worlds both beautiful and haunting, hidden just beyond the edge of night.
Jonathan Mak, a pianist from Toronto, distinguished himself by winning the first Sorel-Tracy International Music Competition in 2024 and the first Bader & Overton Canadian Piano Competition in 2023. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in piano performance at Rice University, where he studies under the guidance of internationally renowned pianist Jon Kimura Parker. Mozart is back!
Christopher Hall is first and foremost a classically trained clarinetist for whom working in an orchestra was just way too serious! Rather than joking around backstage, he chose the stage as a comedian and has appeared on various television and radio shows, in both English and French. You’ve probably also seen him on stage with his Quatuor Comique!
Today, he returns with his new show: Mozart est de retour ! Mozart, the greatest genius of classical music, is VERY happy (but not at all surprised!) that his music is still being played. He is also delighted that the music of his rival Salieri has been completely forgotten.
All historians and musicologists agree that Mozart was not only a great genius, but also… quite the prankster! It is therefore only natural that comedian and clarinetist Christopher Hall embodies him in this concert, which is as brilliant as it is hilarious!

Buy your ticketsDuo Rosemarie Duval-Laplante et Jean-Michel Dubé – Quand Ravel rencontre Gershwin
La Maison musicale de Warwick | 11, rue Boulanger

Rosemarie Duval-Laplante and Jean-Michel Dubé join forces in a four-hand performance to present Ravel and Gershwin: two continents, two cultures, two geniuses! Discover their worlds, with their impressionistic hues and jazz rhythms, in works written for four hands and arrangements with a Ravel-esque sound. Travel from Paris to New York in the first half of the 20th century in the company of these composers who admired one another—and who, by coincidence, died in the same year.
This concert features commentary to guide listeners in discovering the music of Ravel (France) and Gershwin (United States). These explanations help listeners understand their influences, their creative processes within the context of the era, and how each composer’s work influenced the other. For example, Ravel incorporated jazz into his music, while Gershwin admired Ravel so much that he asked him for composition lessons.
The duo of Rosemarie Duval-Laplante and Jean-Michel Dubé was formed in 2017. Both graduates of the Conservatoire de musique de Québec, they charm audiences with their charisma and stand out for their musical ideas and intimate collaboration on their instrument. As a married couple for several years, their deep rapport is reflected in their sensitive playing and remarkable sonic unity.
