The Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke (OSS), with 86 years of history, is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in Quebec and one of the best regional orchestras in the country. Comprising 50 regular professional musicians and more than 150 supernumeraries hired on a concert-by-concert basis, the OSS’s mission is to be a leader in the promotion and production of classical and symphonic music in the Estrie region.

At the end of the 2022-2023 season’s audition concerts, Jean-Michel Malouf was announced as the new artistic director of the Estrie ensemble. The trained trombonist, winner of the 2016 Jean-Marie-Beaudet Award, thus becomes the tenth conductor of the Sherbrooke orchestra. Together, let us celebrate these intoxicating melodies that still resonate in the valleys of the Estrie region.
