The Rendez-vous musical de Laterrière, a professional presenting organisation, is the only chamber music festival in the Saguenay Lac- Saint-Jean region. The Rendez-vous musical’s mission is to produce 4 to 6 classical music events each August at Laterrière’s Notre-Dame church. The Rendez-vous musical aims to make the art of classical music accessible to all, with a friendly presentation, accessible programming and media activities. In its policy of engaging artists, the Rendez-vous aims to create a unique haven in Quebec’s musical ecology, bringing together highly experienced professional artists, musicians at the start of their careers and up-and-coming advanced students from our region and beyond.

Trio Timia

A true rising star of chamber music and winner of the 2025 bronze medal at the ‘Fischoff National Chamber Competition’, the Trio Timia offers us the Trio no. 2 in C minor op.66 by Felix Mendelssohn, The Five Negro Melodies by Samuel Coledrige Taylor and the Trio in F minor by Maurice Ravel.

Orchestre de l’Agora : «Violoneux et folklores du nord»

With its concert “Violoneux et folklores du Nord”, the Orchestre de l’Agora celebrates traditional Quebec music by paying tribute to Louis “Pitou” Boudreault, a Chicoutimi-born fiddler and emblematic figure of traditional Quebec music, on the occasion of the one hundred and twentieth (120th) anniversary of his birth. Soloists: Alexis Chartrand, violin and Nicolas Babineau, violin and guitar.

Le Tisseur de vent invites us to explore the musical universe of Francis Colpron, flutist and founder of the Boréades de Montréal. We will discover more intimately what, from his beginnings to today, has shaped and inspired him, between rare virtuosity and the truth of expression. In a journey marked by musical pieces and short anecdotes, Colpron will give us the origin of his love for the flute as well as for Baroque music and beyond, opening the door to the person behind the flutist.
